Joel Matsco is the founder of Impellus and a seasoned commercialization and strategy leader with 20 years of experience across B2B and industrial markets. He has held leadership roles at PPG, Covestro, Bayer, working across both global corporations and mid-sized manufacturers. His expertise spans go-to-market strategy, product lifecycle management, innovation pipeline development, and commercialization execution.
Joel has led commercialization efforts for product portfolios ranging from millions to multi-billion dollars in value. He has worked across a range of company sizes — from nimble, fast-moving teams to complex global organizations — and brings practical experience navigating the challenges of aligning GTM plans across functions. His focus is on helping clients build the internal clarity and coordination needed to move from idea to revenue with greater speed and confidence.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Joel brings operational discipline, strategic sharpness, and a service-first mindset to help manufacturers thrive in complex markets. His industry experience spans chemicals, coatings, engineered materials, construction products, industrial manufacturing, electrical / electronics verticals — with hands-on GTM leadership in both high-regulation environments and fast-moving commercial settings.
